Baobab Almond Energy Bites

Are you looking for a tasty (and easy) snack to get you from one meal to the next during ramadan? We absolutely love energy bites - they're filled with healthy fats, protein, fibre and natural sugars for energy!

Ingredients (makes 8-10 energy bites)

  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 4 Medjool dates (pits removed)
  • 1 tbsp organic coconut oil 
  • 1/2 tbsp maple syrup 
  • 1 tbsp Zola Foods baobab powder
  • 1 tbsp Zola Foods chia seeds 
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds 
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut 


Add the almond flour, oat flour, dates, coconut maple syrup and baobab powder to the bowl of a food processor. Process until the mixture resembles a dough. Using your hands, add the chia seeds, sunflower seeds and coconut. Shape into small balls, roll in desiccated coconut and refrigerate.
