Purple tea is gaining in popularity as a super food. The anthocyanin found in purple tea is the same as that found in blueberries, raspberries and purple grapes, however purple tea has up to 15 times the amount of anthocyanin found in blueberries. This tea has an additional health boost from the inclusion of hibiscus and this blended tea is a great immune booster. It is also a popular cold beverage when brewed and chilled for a few hours and served cold with a dash of lemon.
This tea greets you with an aroma of vanilla on the nose and leaves a lingering taste of the delicate union of purple leaf tea with rose petals and hibiscus. This tea pairs well with a matcha cake or a plain sponge cake and macaroons.
Place 4 grams of tea leaves into an infuser Tea pot
Pour Hot water of 80 Degrees into the Teapot
Steep and allow to brew for 6 Minutes
Mix with spoon to ensure all the tea leaves are well opened
