Festive Baobab Energy Balls

These festive-inspired snacks help bring balance to the body and mind with an irresistible sweet and citrus flavor. Baobab is an antioxidant burst; rich in vitamin C, fibers, electrolytes, and essential minerals.

Ingredients (makes 10 balls)

  • 100g soft pitted dates
  • 50g walnuts
  • 50g pecan nuts
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 2 tsp cacao powder
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 1 tbs of Zola Foods baobab powder
  • 50g dried cranberries

To roll/decorate

  • Desiccated coconut
  • Cacao nibs
  • Dark chocolate
  • Orange zest

Method

Put all ingredients except cranberries into a food processor. Blend until it resembles damp sand then tip into a bowl with the cranberries. Mix it all and then start to shape into balls. Roll them in coconut or cacao nibs. You can also use chia seeds, sesame seeds, chopped mixed nuts or any other powders such as cacao powder or maca powder. These balls keep well in the fridge for a few days.
